All of Spiral’s tools, including assay management, trading, blending, refinery simulation and optimisation, were covered in a number of presentations and breakout sessions. New features of Spiral tools, enabling easier and more complete access to crude oil data shared across businesses, were outlined. Training and workshops showed the latest features and how to apply them to business workflows. Client-led papers and breakout sessions demonstrated effective workflows and innovative applications of Spiral tools.
Spiral's new range of tools, Spiral Suite, was announced. This includes a full featured, integrated planning and scheduling solution, designed from the ground up to incorporate the work processes of planners, schedulers, yield accountants, operators and people responsible for model tuning and performance monitoring. Spiral is the first company to build all these features as a single solution and the result is a highly innovative product that provides a single user interface on top of a data model that allows for collaboration around common data.
Especially in today’s rapidly changing market, there are tremendous business benefits in making rapid and accurate decisions, based on the best information available. SUM 2010 showed how to use Spiral’s tools to take advantage of opportunities while minimising risk.
